From October 2 to 7, 2025, a new international music event, the first "Global International Youth Piano Competition", will be held in the picturesque Jeju Island, South Korea. The competition venue is the Kim Jeong Kulturzentrum.
The Competition is open to musicians with the age from 16 to 32 years of any nationality. This is not only a high-level piano competition, but also marks the official start of the unique annual journey of the competition. The competition will be held in different countries every year and is committed to building a top music exchange platform worldwide.
The competition is co-organized by iMusic Union and German Koltun Music Agency. The competition is also strongly supported by the Vienna International Youth Arts Foundation (VIYAF).
Its core purpose is clear and far-reaching: to discover and cultivate young piano talents with extraordinary potential around the world, and pave a solid road for them to the international stage. The competition specially invites a number of internationally renowned piano masters to form an authoritative jury to ensure the professionalism and fairness of the selection.
For young artists, it is of great significance: the winner will win a global tour contract in China, Germany, Austria, Spain and other places. This is not only a performance opportunity, but also a key springboard for their career to take off, helping them to stand out in the world music map. Choosing Jeju Island as the first stop not only shows the open attitude of the competition to embrace multiculturalism, but also adds international music charm to this art island.
The first Global International Youth Piano Competition, with piano keys as a bond, transcends geographical boundaries, ignites young dreams, and builds the future of classical music. In the golden autumn of October, Jeju Island awaits the gorgeous bloom of the world's piano music.
